The Italian government published every Italian’s earnings on the Internet. What does it confirm?

1. “The biggest threat to your privacy is the government.” Ron Paul

2. No government is able to keep secrets unless it’s about the government.
We still don’t know what happened to John Kennedy and Vince Foster. We do know though, that over 490 IRS laptops are lost or stolen over three years.

3. National ID card, the first step toward publishing your earnings on internet, is coming. Well, it’s already here.
Congress has already passed the requirement for a national ID card in 2005 (the Real ID Card). Heritage Foundation supports it, as does John McCain. For some reason Wikipedia says that Barack Obama oppose the Real ID act and Hillary Clinton does not have a postion, even though a few paragraphs above it says that “… the Real ID Act … was unanimously passed by the Senate on May 10, 2005,” when both both Obama and Clinton were senators.

4. The only presidential candidate who was and is aganst national ID card is Ron Paul.

A National ID Bill Masquerading as Immigration Reform

Republican Party talking points on this bill, which claim that this is not a national ID card, nevertheless endorse the idea that “the federal government should set standards for the issuance of birth certificates and sources of identification such as driver’s licenses.” So they admit that they want a national ID but at the same time pretend that this is not a national ID.

This bill establishes a massive, centrally-coordinated database of highly personal information about American citizens: at a minimum their name, date of birth, place of residence, Social Security number, and physical and possibly other characteristics. What is even more disturbing is that, by mandating that states participate in the “Drivers License Agreement,” this bill creates a massive database of sensitive information on American citizens that will be shared with Canada and Mexico!

This bill could have a chilling effect on the exercise of our constitutionally guaranteed rights. It re-defines “terrorism” in broad new terms that could well include members of firearms rights and anti-abortion groups, or other such groups as determined by whoever is in power at the time. There are no prohibitions against including such information in the database as information about a person’s exercise of First Amendment rights or about a person’s appearance on a registry of firearms owners.

This legislation gives authority to the Secretary of Homeland Security to expand required information on driver’s licenses, potentially including such biometric information as retina scans, finger prints, DNA information, and even Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) radio tracking technology. Including such technology as RFID would mean that the federal government, as well as the governments of Canada and Mexico, would know where Americans are at all time of the day and night.

There are no limits on what happens to the database of sensitive information on Americans once it leaves the United States for Canada and Mexico – or perhaps other countries. Who is to stop a corrupt foreign government official from selling or giving this information to human traffickers or even terrorists? Will this uncertainty make us feel safer?

What will all of this mean for us? When this new program is implemented, every time we are required to show our driver’s license we will, in fact, be showing a national identification card. We will be handing over a card that includes our personal and likely biometric information, information which is connected to a national and international database.

5. In the near future, we will see on the Internet our neighbor’s earnings and we will see nothing wrong with it.

Some “civil libertarians” see nothing wrong with the national ID cards. Alan Dershowitz, Why Fear National ID Cards? could easily use the same reasons for putting everybody tax returns on Internet.

The fear of an intrusive government can be addressed by setting criteria for any official who demands to see … [the information.]

It could be an effective tool for preventing terrorism, reducing the need for other law-enforcement mechanisms — especially racial and ethnic profiling — that pose even greater dangers to civil liberties.

Finally, there is the question of the right to anonymity. I don’t believe we can afford to recognize such a right in this age of terrorism. No such right is hinted at in the Constitution. And though the Supreme Court has identified a right to privacy, privacy and anonymity are not the same.

American taxpayers, voters and drivers long ago gave up any right of anonymity without loss of our right to engage in lawful conduct within zones of privacy.

would not you agree with the last statement?

This was published on OpEdNews.

Two remarkable events happened during this presidential cycle that went underreported by big media but produced huge splashes on the internet. The first was the song sung by John McCain answering a question about the Middle East. The other was the whisper, probably coming from a hidden wire worn by Romney during a debate.

Yesterday, the Song “Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran” was officially endorsed by the Whisper “He raised taxes, I am not gonna.”

“This is a man capable of leading our country at a dangerous hour,” said Mitt the Whisper about John the Song. “Senator McCain understands the war we are in, the necessity of victory, and the consequences of surrender.”

I am not going to argue that we are not in a war, but in an occupation; not in a military but in a police action; that we have already killed so many people, destroyed so many buildings, and killed or otherwise replaced so many government officials of Iraq that it would satisfy the definition of victory for any of the bloodthirsty tyrants from across the entire world military history. These are not my points.

At the last debate, Ron Paul actually told Romney and McCain that there is no difference between them, and that they have no money to continue the war anyway.

Money? During the debates, Ron Paul was essentially making the argument that the income tax brings in about one trillion dollars, which is about the amount we waste in maintaining our empire not only in Iraq, but also in Korea, Japan, and dozens of other countries, so by pulling out we could easily abolish the income tax.

The Republican candidates still talk about smaller government and smaller taxes. Their stance is similar to the Democrats’ stance on the war: they talk about stopping it, somehow, but they do nothing. The Democrats’ stance on the income tax is also similar to the Republicans’ stance on the occupation: increase it.

Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee talked about actually abolishing the IRS. Paul has his record to back it up, though Huckabee does not, but at least he talks about it. The rest of the Republican Party just uses slogans to hypnotize the masses: “smaller government, less taxes” like the mantra “four legs good, two legs bad” from Animal Farm. I doubt that anybody seriously believes that any remaining presidential candidate will do anything to abolish income tax or to even reduce taxes.

The term “tax cut” itself has even been accepted in our society to mean a government action which results in some people getting their taxes reduced. Hello Maymin’s lemma: After any zero-sum redistribution, some people will end up with more money than they had at the beginning. In other words, the redistribution, the opposite of the tax cut, is nowadays called a tax cut.

I know, I know, nobody thinks that the income tax is that bad. Fifty percent of wage earners don’t pay any income tax. And the rest of the voters who are not wage earners don’t pay income tax by definition, so income tax payers are an insignificant minority. The greedy, the wealthy. Who cares about them or about the income tax?

I wrote a novel exploring how much the government can tax before the people object. You can read the book free online here.

You think I am overreacting? Just remember: when whispers join songs, they are soon followed by war marches, patriotic chants, and funeral hymns.

Editor’s note. I read and reviewed the book, here. rob kall

Dear all:

I sincerely regret to inform you that today, the GOTV day, the biggest day of the whole Iowa campaign for the 300 students up here, was completely destroyed–and the circumstances point towards a deliberate sabotage.

We were told from the very beginning that all of our hard work would be nought if we didn’t hit Iowa hard on January 3rd.

Our job? Call every Ron Paul supporter in the state (our numbers were bigger than Huckabee’s), man as many precincts as possible, drive voters around, pick people up, get them back home, check voters off as they come in, &c., &c..

We were told to be ready to leave camp at 9 a.m.
…

We were ready.

But then at 2:30 in the morning, all the camp leaders received a phone call that the database the Des Moines office put together of all our phone banking and door-to-door canvassing was totally scrambled, jumbled, and even partly deleted. All the data was scattered and completely jumbled. Missing phone numbers. Missing precincts. A big box of random data. Thousands and thousands of voters.

The original file was supposed to have broken all voters down into counties and precincts. Didn’t happen.

Each page was supposed to be correlated with precinct captains and chairmen. Didn’t happen.

We were looking at a day of turning out over 17,000 voters. We maybe called 300.

We picked up nobody.

We manned no caucuses.

…

So what happened?

We were told we’d have the numbers by 11 a.m.

Then noon.

Then 2.

Then 3.

Then 4.

We finally got the numbers around 4:30. We couldn’t even print them. A couple camp leader floored it to a Kinko’s and printed them out. We got started calling at 5:15. Caucusers were supposed to show up at 6:30.

I have received word that one particular person is responsible for all this.

I’ve also heard word that this is not true. That’s why I won’t release the name.

In any case, the database the Des Moines office was supposed to be compiling was completely compromised, either technically or personally. The word used to describe the master file was “unusable.”

I don’t know what to make of this, but everyone here is super despondent.

OMFG

If this is true, it is completely outrageous.

Why does this not suprise me?

Because I watched CSPAN 2 last night cover a Republican Caucus in Des Moines, Iowa. It took place at the Des Moines community college.

Before the vote every precinct captain for each candidate was allowed to speak for say 3-5 minutes on behalf of their candidate. Guess which candidate had NO PRECINCT CAPTAIN speaking?

Ron Paul.

I sunk into my chair in disbelief and disgust that the campaign couldn’t find someone to be a precinct captain in Des Moines?!

So this post does not suprise me in the least. The New Hampshire office better be ready for this crap and better have backup data.

Does the campaign realize we are paying them? WE ARE THE RON PAUL CAMPAIGN SHAREHOLDERS! And we demand accountability for “management’s” actions!

is this true?

no precinct captain? where else did this happen? also, any word from bev harris on vote verification/legitimacy?

Carolton?

I think it was Caroltion? or Carolton county?

It sounded something like that. And CSPAN2 showed this particular Republican Caucus from start to finish. It was cool to see them count out votes for Ron Paul. But the lack of a precinct captain stumping for Ron Paul (after listening for people stump for Giulani, and Thompson, etc) in Des Moines was disgusting to me.

It was held at the Des Moines community college.

If not us, then definitely people like us.

All nefarious insinuations aside, I worked in Iowa for three weekends, canvassing and phone-banking. Specifically, when we identified a caucuser on our lists that supported RP and would indeed caucus, we marked our lists with the appropriate codes.

Is to not overreact to this situation. A thorough investigation should be done and procedures corrected so something like this is not repeated in NH.

The past is the past. Don’t be discouraged by it and give in to negativity. Fact is, we don’t know yet weather it was sabotage or not. However, it looks like it perhaps. Still EVEN IF it was, so what. RP has some powerful enemies, don’t forget that. We should EXPECT things like that.

The best thing would be a FULL REVIEW of the situation, to prevent future occurences – there’s always time to blame someone – there isn’t always time to fix the problem that allowed this to happen.

It’s fairly obvious that there simply were NO disaster management procedures in place here. And that backups had been done pretty haphazardly and probably never verified or validated. This was all done “fast and loose” and therefor vulnerable to a HOST of problems, including simple corruption of the DB index and/or log files.

I work in the political polling/call center industry and manage data, polls, stats all day long. This is very frustrating and that type of ignorance or incompetence should be dealt with swiftly and if HQ wants me I will quit my current employ to come manage data for them for the rest of the campaign.

I am so angry at this moment because the GOTV effort is sooo damn important. This is really crappy news at least for me as I know personally I am educated enough and intelligent enough to keep very good backups so that if a file does get corrupted there is a recovery plan in place.

DONE, but lessons need to be learned.

On THIS one you truly do NOT know what you are talking about.

There are LOTS of 50% incompetent database managers who say “well it WAS backed up… last week” etc.

This is NOT the same as backing up files on your laptop.

This is A MULTI-USER, MISSION CRITICAL DATABASE SYSTEM — the system should be impervious to attack, and they should be able to “recover” from ANYTHING, including a fire destroying the entire building within a matter of an hour or two.

Such a system does not just need to be “backed up” — It needs to be backed up with incrementals at least HOURLY, and with FULL backups should run at least twice per day (preferably 3 times or more depending on when breaks or shift changes happen), with offsite storage of copies.

And furthermore, full test RESTORES of the backed-up data SHOULD have been done several times in the days right before the election.

Total time to setup such a system is probably less than an few hours (more like an hour or two for a competent DBA with modern equipment). Total time to TEST the backup restores would probably be a matter of less than 8 hours of actual work in the days prior to D-DAY, as most of the time should have been spent with initial “procedure validation” a week or more beforehand (or whenever the system was setup).

This is “fire drill” stuff, you need to setup a solid procedure and make certain it ALL works, then verify that you have the procedure down pat, again and again and again (the DBA or ITAdmin should be able to do a competent, clean, full restore at 3AM in the morning, while he is still half-asleep and waiting for his cup of coffee).

IMHO, anything less *IS* amateurish incompetence, period.

BTW, I do database work for a living and sadly see this kind of incompetence all the time on consults (and seldom does it result in anyone getting even reprimanded much less fired — but they seriously SHOULD BE — and long before disaster strikes.)

Removable Storage

I think they are called ‘removable storage’? I just call them ‘memory sticks’. (I’m not techy!) They could be purchased and given to key people and everyday backups are done. You can get ones that hold up to 2 GB.

Additional incompetence. Fire some people.

Why would they wait until the last minute to print out the information? The information should have been given to the students at least the day before. This is ridiculous and encapsulates the incompetency of the campaign management. Unfortunately, like all their blunders, Paul will never hear of it because they’ll shield him from it to save their own jobs. The first people that need to go are the people at the top of the campaign staff. Smarter management needs to be brought in who know how to manage an organization and its employees. Blame it on the people at the top, including Kent Snyder and the other bumpkins.

Unfortunately TYPICAL….

I am going to assume that this is a true reporting of what happened in Iowa until someone proves it false. I just KNEW that something was screwed up last night when the numbers started rolling in. How could we have been exactly at the pre caucus poll numbers, when we ALL know that our “real world” support is easily twice that, and that there was NO WAY our people were NOT going to get the vote out. Now we know why. And, once again, the “official” campaign looks pathetic.

SO….last night a KEY get the vote out system was blown out. Ever heard of backing up files? How about the two weeks ago revelation that Ron Paul was NOT on the Ohio ballot yet? How about repeatedly giving out incorrect information on press releases, including WRONG locations and dates? How about trying to chase the herd with a FAR TOO TYPICAL/MAINSTREAM campaign that spends huge amounts of money on 30 second TV ads to be run in states ovewhelmed by candidate ads ALREADY? How about S**TTY ads! How about consistently subverting grassroots enthusiasm and creativity with endless calls for a “steady stream” of donations.

Look, I am very well read up on how the primary/delegate system works, and know that this is a 50 state race. However – LAST NIGHT WAS CRUCIAL. Momentum is a huge “identity/validity/credibility” bomb that could have been dropped last night….propelling Ron Paul and our movement into NH and beyond. We HAD to at least beat McCain, a has-been war monger that draws a lot of independent support in NH. instead, we finish behind him, and ALL DAY TODAY I have heard endless punditry saying that McCain might have been the “big winner” last night because he has credibility going into a strong state for him (the “Live Free or Die” state, by the way). We also had to at least beat the washed up TV actor with about as much enthusiasm as a corpse. Sadly, no. And PLEASE, taking solace in beating Giuliani is a joke. His campaign is dead, even Megamedia says so. His “Florida stand” strategy is like standing below a bursting dam with a pot lid for a shield.

I also have a growing concern today. How much of the 20 million is left to continue the run for the long haul? I have been flagged multiple times on this site for suggesting that the “official” campaign is NOT operating in the best interests of this revolution, and that spaced out “money bombs” would ENSURE that they COULD NOT spend all of the money in the early states, trying to look and act like some mainstream frontrunner campaign. “Traitor” and “Troll” usually preceed my comments being removed. Since our poor showing last night (and it indeed WAS if winning is on our minds), a “home run swinging”, long term, through MARCH campaign is of more importance than ever. We MUST allow the Ron Paul supporters EVERYWHERE to get a chance to vote for him.

Have you looked at the donor map on ronpaulgraphs.com lately? Look at all of those GREEN states dying for the chance to say something in this primary election. Unfortunately, I fear the “official” campaign does not see it that way. They are too busy trying to be something we are not. Or worse, they simply have no idea WHAT we are.

If we get an “official” email any day pleading for more funds to continue through February we will know how serious the problem is. All the future money bombs in the world will dry up without CREDIBLE RECOGNITION in the form of primary SUCCESS.

GET IT DONE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE! Get a bazillion supporters to sit in coffee shops all day talking. Get into the diners. Have house parties. Get Ron on local radio. Get it done. In my opinion we need at LEAST THIRD place in NH to gain back some credibility.

Sorry folks, I was going to hold my tongue until I had something more “positive” to say, but hearing the news from Iowa in this post has pretty much fried my mind right now. If you wish to innocently “explain it away” as honest *s**t happens, go right ahead……when the future of our country is at stake I refuse to be so accepting.

I had to sneak away while my friends were unwrapping presents and jump on the internet to sneak a peak at the latest on the dailypaul. Let’s face it…we’d all marry Ron Paul if we could…did the room just go silent?…well…ya know…Glenn Beck wants to be Ron’s girlfriend….he’s got the fever, too!

I am really concerned. I can’t get enough. We ARE all really STARVED for this message. It’s why we hold on so tight. This has got to happen. It’s kind of like after 911. I remember seeing a photo of someone in France holding a sign saying “We are American, too.” You never know how much you love your country until you feel you’re losing it. And man, noone has a burning love like we do.

My husband and I are hooked. As soon as the kids are in bed, we get online (each on our own computer) and spend hours searching for Ron Paul info. We really have a problem! We stay up too late and I dream about all this stuff through the night. I’m just glad to see that we are not the only ones! We are not even internet people – this is a new way for us. We are just thankful that we found RON PAUL and the REVOLUTION. May we multiply exponentially!

I`m German living in Germany and I keep talking about Ron Paul to my german family and friends, drive around in my german car plastered with Ron Paul signs through Munich, Germany (still waiting for the first honk…), and occasionaly walk down the street with my handmade “Google Ron Paul” sign in my Ron Paul Shirt.
I`m absolutely obsessed with Ron Paul – that`s because it is the first time in my life there is actually hope for liberty.
This movement is a dream coming true.

I am not a Ron Paul addict, I can stop following at any time. It’s just that at this time I’m really enjoying my inability to use the internet without looking at Ron Paul news and the Daily Paul. I think that it might be getting in the way of the other parts of my life.
I almost puked my Christmas dinner across the table at a relative that said she liked Hilary. She definitely did NOT have the potatoes passed to her for the rest of the meal.

Everyone calls me Ron Paul now, I sleep in his T-Shirt, I convert hundreds of people already in the US and as far as Asia, my friends send me Christmas greetings like this: Merry Christmas to you and your family( and we know vote RP)

You guys I understand, but my husband is driving me crazy! My husband is a Ron Paul supporter but he’s not addicted! When he comes home from work I try to show him info on the internet and if I’m lucky he’ll watch for about 10 min. then say he’s had enough and walk away!! He walks all day long for his job so he likes to sit and read or watch TV at night but he avoids news because it gets him mad (yelling mad). He’ll be 67 in March and wanted to cut back on overtime this year but hasn’t because of Ron Paul. We would be maxed out on our contributions except for the fact that we’re holding back a little for another bomb. Anytime I mention that a special project needs money he’ll tell me to send in $500. (We’re not rich, he just works a lot of overtime.) I wanted to go to Phila. for the rally. We’re only a hour away but he didn’t want to go! I just don’t understand him! At least you people are normal.

He’s awesome, that’s way better than being on-line all day. Working overtime to send in more money and letting you scope out the opportunities–your husband rocks.

i converted my wife in 1 easy step
Step 1: I took her to a Ron Paul Rally. After that, she was convinced he was the man.
Now, she’s hooked.

I am a new person because of Ron Paul. I am determined to track the votes of Congress on all spending and civil liberties issues from now on. I am determined to vote against any politician who spends our money unwisely or compromises our civil liberties. I will write letters and make phone calls until these politicians listen to us.

Top Ten Signs that You Are a Ron Paul-aholic
10). You donated to the TeaParty at 12:04 AM December 16th to help get the ball rolling and then watched in amazement until 3 AM as everybody you know did the same.
(9). You think that ending the War in Iraq, preventing the President from launchng a War in Iran, stopping Empire Building, eliminating The Federal Reserve, IRS, and many Departments of the Federal Government, Abortion, defending Individual Rights and Liberty, Limited Government, Saving the Country from Bankruptcy, Sound Money, Property Rights, restoring The Constitution, Non-Interventionism, etc…. are the most important issue and why you are supporting Dr. Paul for President.
(8). You checked out DailyPaul on Christmas Eve just to see who else was there.
(7). You have DailyPaul, RonPaulforPresident2008.com, and LewRockwell.com in your Favorites.
6). You now have a PHD level understanding of why traditional phone polls are biased and irrelevant.
5). You are thinking about running for Congress as a Ron Paul Republican.
4). You have developed a serious dislike for Sean Hannity, RedState, Eric Dondero, Neil Cavuto, MSM, Mike Hucabee, John McCain, Rudy McRomeyson, Glenn Beck (?), Tim Russert,. Katy Couric, Rupert Murdock, Roger Ailes, Chuck Todd, and sometimes -freedomfighter, atvdude and devilsadvocate.
3). You think that Trevor Lymann get’s to much credit, to little credit, or is just one of many good examples of an active/creative Ron Paul supporter.
2). You can’t wait to tell your friends and family and perfect strangers all about Ron Paul and attend a caucus, vote in the primary, vote in the general election and finally, attend a Ron Paul Virtual Presidential Ball in January 2009.
1). You absolutely believe from the bottom of your Heart and Soul that Ron Paul is HOPE for AMERICA.

Hi My name is Todd and I’m a Ron Paul-aholic.
I can’t stop looking for new information. All hours – all days – if I have a free moment I’m picking up the laptop and checking…….sometimes every 5 minutes I check.
My wife and I recently met the good doc at the tea party here in Texas. Her comment to him was she wants him to win already so that she can have her husband back. I about died with embarrassment. oh well—-what can ya do.

Last year I was all about sex, drugs, rock&rol, and casino gambling.
This year I`m all free markets, sound money, individual liberty, and non-interventionist foreign policy.Go figure.

We are addicted Ron Paul supporters, so much that its rubbed off on the kids (its their future we’re fighting for). 2 kids, 14, 10 years and a grandchild 5 years. They make up skits, songs and signs referring to RP! The 5 year old the first time said “Ron Paul, the champion of the ‘fompitutuion’. A joke around here now. A couple of their gifts for Christmas were from “Ron Paul”. Maybe family counseling??

I am so “hardcore” that my daughter gave me a “Ron Pauling Survival Kit” for Christmas! It contained a RP t-shirt for me and 2 for my dogs, a RP apron for times my hubby says “Back away from the computer and fix me some dinner, woman!”, a bottle of water to stay hydrated, a Ron Paul cup and some tea for the teaparty, and various snacks so I don’t have to leave the computer, a bottle of brandy for times I get frustrated, etc.
I have 6 kids and their spouses that will most likely vote for Dr. Paul, 2 are definitey Paul-aholics, 3 grandkids over 18 and at least 2 of them are confirmed Paul-aholics. I confess their addictions were caused by me, but I do not feel guilty!

My name is Charlotte and I’m a Paul-aholic. I created my own bumper sticker, have listened to all 9 parts of neo-conned, donated like the other viewer said at 12:04 Dec 16, have maxed my donations, have created my own stickers, donated to the auction of the Tea Party, go out every night and sticker cars in the neighborhood shopping places, have bugged all of my friends and family to join me, I hate to Paul alone, have many favorited youtube videos, listen to Ron Paul music while I’m on the computer, sit down just to see what is new on dailypaul for 10 minutes and then after three hours I have to go to the bathroom, order Ron Paul shirts for Christmas, and if I have done everything else I can find on the computer, I just go over and watch the ticker names go by. If I don’t convert at least one person a day, I am depressed. I’m so glad we have until November before I have to face this and seek a cure. Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Ron Paul. Join the Ron Paul r3VOLution, give us back our Constitution.

My daughter (who is also hardcore Paul-aholic) and I sometimes dream all night that we are out Ron-Pauling! We wake up exhausted sometimes.:-)

Oh MY Gosh
Yes, I dream about Ron Paul all night long, all night long. I work and work and work. Sometimes I wake up and it has been a good night and other times I am frustrated or scared. After about five nights of this, I have given up and realize this is how it is going to be. Exactly!!

My name is Erin and I’m a Paul-a-holic
I spent Christmas day emailing the Organizers of major Meetup groups, to try and get Paulapalooza 2008 on as many calendars as possible. (I only stopped because the Meetup site finally cut me off, telling me I had exceeded my maximum number of emails to Organizers within a 30-day period!)
While my toddler is napping, I write letters to strangers in early primary states – urging them to google Ron Paul – until my hand cramps up.
I made my own bumper sticker and have nearly maxed out my contributions.
After 2 glasses of Cabernet, I gave my 30-member extended family a long lecture about the virtues or RP over Christmas dinner.
I am now so obsessed with staying on top of the campaign progress, I can’t remember the last time I watched any TV (except, of course, the Glenn and MTP interviews).
That last one can’t be good for the MSM and their advertisers. Hey, Ron Paul cured my TV addiction! Is there anything he can’t do?

My name is Joel Nowak. I live in Brookline, New York with my wife and two sons. I have advanced prostate cancer. Last March, an FDA panel of experts agreed that a new vaccine for prostate cancer was safe and showed substantial evidence of efficacy. The FDA delayed approval saying they want more proof. What’s your position?

I would go even further. What if the FDA panel of expert or anybody else on Earth did not approve it? Shouldn’t it be up to the person what treatment he wants to use?

If you are pro-life, don’t you agree if a person’s life is at stake nobody should forbid him to use the treatment he wants?

If you are pro-choice, don’t you agree that a person has the right to chose what to do with his own body?

Even if you disagree, isn’t it up to the person to decide what is best for him?

Among all presidential candidates there is only one who would have the guts to abolish the FDA. Is it a coincidence that he is the only doctor among all of them?

A Ron Paul supporter campaigned at a library. Within minutes librarians and Sheriffs confronted him. They told him that he should move out 50 yards from the entrance because people were complaining. The guy told them: “People can’t complain away my right to be there on public property.” Read what happened next. You’ll be shocked.

Interesting day at the main library in downtown Tampa yesterday.

I called and let them know I would be there campaigning for Dr. Paul at 5:30. They said they weren’t sure if that was permitted. I assured them it was and asked them to call me back if there was a problem. They called back. They said I couldn’t interfere with anyone coming and going and implied I was not allowed to be there. I said great, I had no intention of impeding the entrance or doing anything of the sort. They said but…..I said thank you for calling.

I arrived at the library at 5 PM. Just me, my handbills and a few Hope For America signs.

Within minutes a librarian came out and asked if I had a permit. I told her I had a first amendment permit. She proceeded to tell me I was not allowed to pass out handbills in front of the entrance. I informed her that unless she could provide library policy in writing saying I was not permitted to be there, she had nothing more to say to me and she should have a nice day.

I proceeded with passing out info as she stood by dumbfounded.

10 minutes later she comes back with a supervisor and two Hillsborough County Sheriffs.

They told me I had to move out to the sidewalk along the street 50 yards from the entrance. I asked why. One Sheriff said people were complaining. I said too bad. People can’t complain away my right to be there on public property.

The other Sheriff said this was County property and I had to move to the public sidewalk. I informed him County property is public property and I had every right to be there as long as I was not interfering with people coming and going.

I informed them that unless they could provide me with library policy in writing they had nothing more to say about me being there.

I continued to try to pass out info to passersby who seemed afraid they would be arrested if they took the handouts.

Eventually the goon squad went back inside and I continued my canvassing right in front of the huge glass double doors in full view of the jack boot wannabes’.

20 minutes later the Sheriffs came back out. They said they talked to the State Attorney and said I was allowed to be there as long as I was not accosting anyone. I asked if it looked like I was accosting anyone and they said no. I thanked them for their service and continued canvassing. I could see the peeved and brainwashed library staff through the doors arguing with the Sheriffs when they returned inside.

Oooohhh SNAP! Like apples? How about them apples.

The Constitution doesn’t defend itself. Get out to a library and have some fun. But don’t get tazed.

Thanks to Andy for backing me up:)))

Aren’t you shocked? You expected the guy be tased, admit it! Or arrested. Well, this time the State Attorney was in a good mood. Scary. The Sheriffs had to make a phone call to the State Attorney to not arrest the guy. The phone call justice.

This particular time this particular State Attorney made the right decision. Don’t you see a problem here?

Judge Napolitano speaks about one of the many anti-constitutional laws from Patriot act:

“No longer can you be completely open with your significant other…”

“If the FBI shows up at your doorstep tomorrow with a self-written search warrant to seize personal items from your home, legally you are not authorized to tell anyone of that warrant.”

Click here to view the embedded video.

This is what Napolitano says about Patriot Act:

The Patriot Act’s two most principle constitutional errors are an assault on the Fourth Amendment, and on the First. It permits federal agents to write their own search warrants [under the name "national security letters"] with no judge having examined evidence …

Not only that, but the Patriot Act makes it a felony for the recipient of a self-written search warrant to reveal it to anyone.

Most of the current candidates for the U.S. Presidency supported Patriot Act. With the exception of Dr. No of course. What does Napolitano think of Ron Paul?

Now Reagan tried, before [James] Baker and his boys advised him on how to behave. Now, I loved the man, but if you look at his record and rhetoric, they are two different things. But Ron Paul had made it legitimate again for small government, maximum individual liberty…

So many of my Fox colleagues, whom I love working with, have such trust and faith in the heart and head of President Bush. But look at the calendar: He’ll be Mr.Bush in 14 months, and unless it’s Ron Paul, God knows what his successor will do with the powers Congress had purported to give him. And I say “purported” because they don’t have the right to actually do all the extraconstitutional things they’ve done.

So what is the right balance between our liberties and security? Napolitano:

Now, for the most part the president and his colleagues in both parties have succeeded in scaring the daylights out of people. Government grows in wartime because people are afraid, and they accept the satanic bargain that government offers: Give us your liberty and we will keep you safe. Many people think that when government is suppressing speech or privacy or fair prosecutions, that since those usurpations are so drastic that they must be keeping us safer.

But when the president says that his first job is to keep us safe, He is dead wrong. Read the oath of office: His first job is not to keep us safe, but to keep us free [by upholding the Constitution]. When you have this value judgment between freedom and safety, I’d rather have freedom with danger than slavery with safety.

But the supposed tradeoff when it comes to civil liberties isn’t really there. Geoffrey Stone of the University of Chicago Law School spent five years reading every judicial opinion in the history of the United States on freedom of speech. Of all the cases of people prosecuted and convicted of violating some law that regulated speech, his conclusion is there is not one, not one single instance in all American history, where America’s security was adversely affected because of too much free speech. When government says it is keeping you safer by criminalizing speech, it’s a canard. They are making their own job easier by criminalizing speech because they have less dissent to confront.
